Shalati Bush Camp is situated on the Mnisi Tribal Land, at the gate of the Manyeleti Game Reserve in the Limpopo Province of South Africa. Shalati Adventure Lodge affords you the ultimate bush experience. You become part of the Shalati-community upon entering our gates. The community cares for one another and together we join hands to strengthen our Rainbow Nation.

We pride ourselves that only people from the local community are employed at the lodge. Our staff are trained in various skills needed to operate the lodge. They are encouraged to become involved in the well being of the guests.

Shalati aims to give guests a true experience of Africa - culture, wildlife and local hospitality.

Chalets

The Chalets can accommodate 32 guests in 16 en-suite Shangaan-style units. The Chalets are thatched and finished off with natural elements such as wood, clay and reeds. Each chalet comes with mosquito nets, a fan and electricity.

Adventure Huts

The adventure huts can accommodate 10 guests in 5 bungalow-style huts. Each hut has a separate bathroom next to the unit. The adventure huts are equipped with mosquito nets, a fan and electricity. Paraffin lamps in the pathways give light in the evenings - thus adding to your own authentic bush experience.

Tented Camp

Our newly erected Tent Camp can accommodate up to 16 clients in 8 tents. The tents are equipped with mosquito nets. There are communal ablution facilities. The tented camp has a Boma area and Braai facilities.

Facilities

Neat pathways, edged by black stone & footlights, direct the way to all the rooms. Each room is placed to maximise your bush experience and afford our visitors total privacy.

The dining room, bar area and open air boma surrounds the swimming pool. The boma was built in the style of a local cattle kraal to enhance the overall African theme.

After a hot summer day, filled with precious memories, you can cool off in the swimming pool and relax in our newly renovated bar. The bar serves some of the best South African Wines and Beers.

Nothing compares to the exhilaration of an open air game drive or bushwalk in the famous big 5 areas of Africa. Our passionate and infectious guides will help you understand some of the mysteries of the bush.

You will be amazed at a world filled with wonder. A world so far removed from daily pressures you'll forget all about reality. Here you make contact with a magnificent part of the wild.

Shalati offers you endless oppurtunities to come face to face with the area's gems.Take an early morning bushwalk or go on a variety of excursions to various conservation projects in the area. Game drives and night drives in open air vehicles are sure to get your heart pumping wih excitment and adrenaline. Just wait until that lion roars behind you or the wildebeest storm across the dusty road in their masses!

In addition, Shalati is proud to offer all our guests a close encounter with the rural people of the area. You will find their rich diversity and precious culture wonderous.
